Sri Chengalamma Parameswari Ammavaru
About 400 years ago, while villagers were trying to build door for the temple, the Goddess appeared in their dream and told them that she was there to bless her devotees at all times and hence they should not build any door to the temple. As per her Instructions, the villagers kept the temple open for 24hrs. The idol of 'Goddess' faces towards the sea. Goddess 'Chengalamma' is believed to be very powerful. Even ISRO scientists visit 'Sri Chengalamma Parameswari Temple' for the blessings of goddess before launching any Satellite.
