Sri Mahanandeeswara Swamy Varu

Mahanadi Temple is the abode of Sri Mahanandeeswara Swamy(Lord Siva) and Lord Mahanandeeswara, the presiding deity of the temple is in the form of Siva Lingam. This holy temple is situated in Mahanandi village in the east of the Nallamala Hills near Nandyal, Kurnool District, Andhrapradesh, India.

Sri Kameswari Devi

Kameshwari Devi Temple dedicated to Goddess Parvati is situated to the south of Mahanandiswara Temple. Pilgrims after finishing the holy bath in Pushkarini (Rudragundam) can have the blessings of Lord Siva and Kameswari Devi.

King Nandana and his ancestors performed Pujas in this temple. Kameswari Devi Temple was reconstructed in 1939. In this premises of this temple, Sri Kodanda Ramalayam dedicated to Lord Rama was built in 1953. The temple has Sri Rama, Sita, Lakshmana Idols.

Navagraha or the Nine Planets has great importance in Hinduism and Hindu rituals. Navagrahas are considered to play a major role in deciding the destiny of man. The Navagrahas are Surya (Sun), Chandra (Moon), Mangal (Mars), Budha (Mercury), Brihaspati (Jupiter), Shukra (Venus), Shani (Saturn), Rahu (North Lunar Node) and Ketu (South Lunar Node). It is believed that these nine planetary deities influence human lives and is responsible for all good or bad times, one faces in life.
